Join us for a special Christmas Cross Stitch-Along as we create four beautiful Chrismons, symbols of Christ, perfect for your tree or holiday decor! Over four weeks, we'll stitch a new ornament each week, exploring the meaning behind these traditional Christian symbols through devotional reflections. Whether you're an experienced stitcher or new to the craft, you'll find inspiration and guidance in our weekly podcast, featuring Lutheran pastors who will connect each Chrismon design to the hope of Advent. Alternative craft options are available for those who don't cross-stitch.

What's a Chrismon?

A Chrismon is a Christian symbol that represents Jesus, often used as a Christmas ornament in churches and homes to reflect the spiritual meaning of the holiday. The word Chrismon comes from combining Christ and monogram, as Chrismons often use symbols or monograms associated with Jesus. Traditionally, Chrismons are white and gold to symbolize the purity and majesty of Christ. Originating in the mid-20th century, Chrismons are now a cherished part of Christmas decor in many churches, serving as visual reminders of Christ’s life, teachings, and love.
