Not every convention vibe is about winning, optimizing, or collecting all the things.

Sometimes the vibe is about found family. Remembering you belong here.

The person who saves you a seat at the table. The stranger who explains the rules without making you feel silly. The friend group that adopts you between sessions. The librarian, teacher, gamer, crafter, writer, or wonderfully nerdy human who somehow manages to say, “Hey, come sit with us.”

Found Family Origins Collection

That’s the energy behind my Found Family collection at Origins. Because fandoms, game tables, crafting circles, and convention halls have long been places where people discover something bigger than shared hobbies: they discover their people.

You’ll find pieces built around that feeling of welcome and chosen community:

  • “This ___ Loves You” water bottles — because sometimes you need hydration and affirmation. Whether you’re a board gamer, librarian, writer, or another flavor of passionate human, these are tiny reminders that your interests can be places of connection, not competition.

  • Pride themed digital art pieces — celebrating the truth many gamers already know: tables are richer when more people are invited to play. Games can be places of strategy, storytelling, joy, and belonging.

  • Saint Lydia of Thyrata: Patron Saint of Pulling Up Another Chair — a digital artwork inspired by Lydia from Acts, a host, businesswoman, and early church leader known for opening her home and making room for community. Around here, we’re imagining her as the saint of expanding the table, making space, and asking the sacred question: Who else needs a seat?

Because found family isn’t just a cute aesthetic.

It’s the friend who teaches you your first RPG. The convention roommate who becomes a yearly tradition. The crafting buddy who understands your hyper-fixation. The person who notices you hovering near a game and says, “We’ve got room for one more.”

In a world that can be isolating, chosen community matters.

And honestly? Pulling up another chair might be one of the most creative acts we have.

So if your vibe is cozy inclusion, nerdy kindness, queer joy, mutual encouragement, enthusiastic niche interests, or “accidentally became everyone’s supportive older sibling at the convention” energy… this collection might be for you.

Stop by, say hello, browse the goods, and maybe find a little reminder that communities are built one welcome, one shared story, and one extra chair at a time.
